Studio keyboard shortcuts

Every hidden keyboard shortcut built into Studio, pulled straight from the game's code, not a wiki guess.

Studio has a full set of keyboard shortcuts that never show up in any menu. I pulled these directly out of the game’s own input handling code, so this is the real, complete list, not a guess. Keep this open in a tab the first few times you pose a scene and most of it will stick.

F tap once Home hold down Ctrl+Z press together

Selecting & moving objects

F

Frame selected. Snaps the camera to look straight at whatever you've selected.

C

Snap to camera. Moves the selected item to sit right in front of your camera.

W

Move gizmo. Same key as Blender, if you're used to that.

E

Rotate gizmo.

R

Scale gizmo.

Q

Toggle the gizmo's axis handles on or off.

J

Toggle the axis translation mode (local vs. world space).

K

Toggle the axis center mode.

V

Hold while dragging to snap the movement to a single axis.

Delete

Delete the selected item(s).

Ctrl+D

Duplicate the selected item(s).

Ctrl+S

Save the scene.

Ctrl+Z

Undo.

Ctrl+Shift+Z

Redo.

Multi-select & hierarchy

Ctrl+Click

Add the clicked item to your current selection, in the viewport or the workspace tree.

Ctrl+Click

Click an already-selected item again while holding Ctrl to drop just that one from the selection.

P

Hold while selecting a second item to attach it as a child of the first.

O

Hold while selecting to detach an item from its parent.

X

Hold while selecting to copy an item along with its full hierarchy.

Camera: quick resets & presets

A

Reset the camera to its default position and angle.

Numpad 5

Reset just the camera's rotation.

/

Reset the camera roll (tilt) back to level.

;

Reset the field of view back to default.

H

Jump to the next saved camera.

09

Load camera preset 0 through 9.

Camera: flying around (hold these)

Pan the camera left, forward, back, and right.

Page UpPage Down

Pan the camera straight up or down.

HomeEnd

Move the camera closer or further away.

Numpad 2/4/6/8

Orbit the camera: pitch up/down, yaw left/right.

.

Roll the camera (tilt the horizon) right or left.

=]

Narrow or widen the field of view, like zooming the lens itself.

B

Hold to temporarily freeze all camera controls, so you stop nudging it by accident.

Menus & system

F2

Open or close Studio's own shortcuts menu (this pauses the scene while it's open).

F11

Take a screenshot.

Esc

Quits straight to desktop. Not a menu, not a confirmation, just closes the game.

Careful with Esc. It doesn't back out of a window or open a pause menu, it exits Studio entirely. Save first (Ctrl+S) if you've been reaching for it out of habit.

None of this needs a plugin. It’s all built into Studio; most of it is just never surfaced anywhere in the UI. If you install GlobalSearch or Radial Menu, a lot of these same actions get a visible button too, but the keys above always work.
